Chefs is the College’s own purpose-built restaurant, bar and coffee lounge which gives our Hospitality and Catering students a fantastic opportunity to experience a realistic gourmet working environment. It’s open to the public and, of course, it’s a treat for the college community and visitors to be able to tuck into some top-quality meals at bargain prices!
You can find Chefs at the west end of the College’s Fairfield building via the entrance on Park Lane.
The restaurant helps students to gain, and practise, both the front- and back-of-house skills essential for success in the Hospitality and Catering industry. Students experience work in a fully functioning bar and restaurant as well as the main kitchen, three preparation kitchens and a dry-stores room that includes a walk-in freezer and two walk-in fridges. Cooking and serving paying customers is invaluable in helping our students acquire the confidence and maturity that they will need in the workplace.
Chefs also provides an unrivalled value-for-money, fine-dining experience for members of the public: two courses for £8 or three courses for £10!
Chefs can also be hired to host private events for customers.
