What Our Students Say

We think Croydon College is the best but don't just take our word for it, our students think so too! Below are just a few of our many happy students sharing their opinions and experiences of the College.

Eric - Apprenticeships: Business & Administration

I wanted to do an Apprenticeship in Business and Administration as I felt that it was an opportunity for me to study whilst working in the field in which I would like to work someday. I thought that practising what I had learnt in the classroom and applying it to a working environment was the best way to improve my skills. The bit I enjoyed most about my apprenticeship at Croydon University Hospital was my relationship with my line managers at work. I was made to feel a part of the team and I was given duties that met the whole job description of an HR administrator. I was given tasks that made me use my own initiative and I was also given all the support I needed. Thanks to my apprenticeship I have been able to develop my administrative skills, communication skills, and I have also developed myself in terms of self-assessment and progression within my job role. Following my apprenticeship I went on to become a band 3 administrator with the Children’s Universal Services and I am currently a band 4 HR administrator. My hope for the future is to become a director of HR or finance and to progress to become CEO for one of the country’s NHS trusts.
