Support for students with medical conditions.

Students with medical conditions often don’t want to share this information.

It is a good idea to come and discuss this with us even if you don’t think you need support.

If students don’t tell us about something, then it may have an impact later in your course for example;

  • Absences or lateness due to your condition
  • Wanting special arrangements with exams or assessments
  • Getting behind with work

This could be due to medical conditions such as:

  • Asthma
  • Epilepsy
  • Lupus
  • Sickle cell
  • HIV
  • Chronic Fatigue or ME

Students with medical conditions often worry about confidentiality.  The support team takes this seriously and has a procedure to make sure any concerns about privacy are respected.
