Joining Croydon College is a straightforward process - simply follow these 5 steps:
Download an application form and then either drop it in or post it to the College. Your school should also be able to post it on your behalf.
If required, we can produce the application form in a larger format and post it to you. If you need help filling out the application form, please contact the Course Information Centre on 020 8760 5914, who will be pleased to assist you. We aim to acknowledge all applications within 5 working days.
If you don’t hear from us within this time, please call Information and Admissions on 020 8760 5934. Alternatively, if you attend a school within the London Borough of Croydon you can apply through Connexions. Your school should provide you with a booklet called "Application Options after Year 11 in Croydon", and help you to fill it in and send it off.
Please note that although there is no official College application deadline, there is high demand for our courses, so we recommend that you apply early to maximise your chance of being accepted.
You will be invited to come into the College for an informal interview. The interview is open to both you and your parents/guardians and you can use the interview to find out more about the College, its facilities and discuss your interests and career plans. Remember, an interview is a two way process, so please feel free to ask as many questions of us as we ask of you!
During the interview stage you may also be asked to complete numeracy and literacy assessments and, for some subjects, aptitude tests or an audition. These are all undertaken to ensure you are offered a place on the most appropriate course and that you receive all the right support to help you succeed.
Remember to bring the following to your interview:
If we offer you a place on a course, it may be conditional upon you meeting certain entry qualifications. You should be told the outcome of your interview on the day. If, for some reason, we are unable to offer you a place on your chosen course we will either offer you an appropriate alternative or give you the opportunity to meet with an advisor to help you look at other options.
You should be sent your offer within 10 working days of your interview. You will need to return your acceptance form to the Information and Admissions department to secure your place.
You will be invited to the College for enrolment in late August before the start of your course. At this time you will be given information regarding your first day.
Induction week happens in September when you will be able to meet your tutors, familiarise yourself with the College and start getting to know your fellow students.
We look forward to welcoming you to Croydon College!
